We provide rigorous data quality control and validation services for research and programme-related datasets generated by agencies and institutions within and outside Nigeria. Our data management function is designed to ensure that data submitted for analysis, reporting, or regulatory review meets established standards of completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
Data collection oversight
Lomic Services oversees the implementation of data collection procedures at site level, including design or review of data capture instruments (paper CRFs or electronic data capture systems), training of data entry personnel, and establishment of query resolution workflows between sites and the data management team.
Data validation & query management
We apply pre-defined validation rules to identify out-of-range values, logical inconsistencies, missing fields, and protocol deviations within submitted data. Data queries are raised, tracked, and resolved through a formal query management process, with resolution timelines monitored against study benchmarks.
Database lock & audit readiness
Prior to analysis, Lomic Services supports the database lock process by conducting final data reconciliation, resolving outstanding queries, and confirming completeness of all required data fields. We maintain detailed data management plans and audit trails to support regulatory submissions and inspections.
Programme data validation
For non-clinical programme data — including financial disbursement data, beneficiary registers, and programmatic activity logs — we conduct structured validation exercises to verify accuracy and alignment with source documentation, supporting funder reporting requirements.
Primary audience: Research sponsors, government health agencies, international non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and programme implementers requiring validated data for regulatory submissions, donor reporting, or peer-reviewed publication.
